15ouncesranch style or western style beans, don't drain or rinse the beans unless you're using canned black beans or canned pinto beans; See recipe notes
1 ½ cupssweet or smoky barbecue sauce
2cupscooked rice or noodles(optional)
Instructions
Add oil to cast-iron skillet and bring to medium low heat
2 tablespoons oil, vegetable or canola
Add onions to hot oil and cook until tender
1 large onion, sliced
Add sliced sausage and ranch flavored beans (with their juice) to onions
1 lb all-beef link smoked sausage; sliced, 15 ounces ranch style or western style beans
Add barbecue sauce and paprika; combine
1 ½ cups sweet or smoky barbecue sauce
Allow to cook for 20 minutes, or until sausage and beans are heated thoroughly
Serve as is, or serve over prepared rice or pasta

Notes
This recipe works as is, however, if you want to add a little kick to it, you can always add a few seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper or smoky paprika.Onion-I use a sweet yellow onion, but you can use whateve you've got on hand. Beans - I use beans that are seasoned with tomato sauce and paprika. (Ranch style beans; Western beans). You can use pinto beans or black beans or heck, even navy beans- just rinse and drain 'em first, Cowboy!
