Notes
Mushrooms-I use about 1½ cups of sliced mushrooms...that was about 5 large mushrooms slicedBrown gravy mix - I use McCormick's brand but any powdered brown gravy mix will do. The package has a net wt of 0.87 ounces.Spaetzle or noodles - I used 1/2 a one-pound bag of dried Bavarian spaetzle and it made a lot of noodles. If you use plain egg noodles, you might want to use ¾ - 1 pound of noodles.
